Island of Kosrae |
| The Island of Kosrae is 42 square miles of
tall mountains and a lush green interior with white coral
beaches around the rim. The interior of the island is
covered with dense tropical rainforest that is sustained by 150 to 200
inches of annual rainfall. Due to the ruggedness of the
mountainous interior, virtually all of the population of approximately
8,000 live in five coast villages.
