The Haleiwa Trench is located off the beach from Alii Beach Park next to the Boat Harbor in Haleiwa. Entry into the water is fairly easy, but the surface swim to the trench is about 100 yards. The depth of the trench can be 65 feet or deeper, although my dives at the Haleiwa Trench are usually 50 feet or higher since that is where most of the marine life is at. This was a two tank dive and there was more than enough photographic opportunities during each dive to quickly fill up a roll of film.
