This Whale Shark had ample opportunity to leave the area, but choose to stay.  A flick of the tale could of sent us flying out of the water, but  despite its size, this shark was a  gentle giant as it swam within inches of us. The skin has a dry velvety touch and did not have the slimy feel of a fish.
